It is with great excitement that West Fargo Public Library announces a collaborative effort with Bonanzaville to present Classical Guitarist Peter Fletcher! A resident of New York City, Fletcher began studying the guitar at the age of seven. Furthering his studies in Master Classes and various competitions, in 1995 he received a Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music under Nicholas Goluses. For the past 20 years, Fletcher has been a traveling performer highly in demand in cultural settings around the country.

Fargo Moorhead Choral Artists: The Spirit Sings:

The Choral Artists opens its 36th concert season with an eclectic concert featuring one of the most beloved works in the choral repertoire, Gabriel Faure’s Requiem. Joined by a professional orchestra, the Choral Artists will present this exquisite work that was written over several years in the late 19th century. Faure stated, “It has been said that my Requiem does not express the fear of death and someone has called it a lullaby of death. But it is thus that I see death: as a happy deliverance, an aspiration towards happiness above.” Music by Gerald Finzi, Heinrich Schütz, Moses Hogan’s Ev’ry Time I Feel the Spirit, and the premiere of a new score by Brandon Hurley will round out this banquet of choral music that you won’t want to miss!
