I’m looking forward to my annual checkup in a few months. This year, I get to experience it at the new Sanford Moorhead Campus. Thursday, when this issue comes out in print, will be its Ribbon Cutting (I am finding that I love Ribbon Cuttings!) and March 3, 2014 is the official opening date.

I’ve had the opportunity to tour the facility before the final touches and furniture came in. It will be a beautiful building but what struck me most was its innovative design that makes the most of both the doctor’s and the patient’s time. Besides more exam rooms, this facility adds occupational medicine and X-ray abilities. We won’t need to run down to the downtown Fargo facility to have that part done. I asked about the Moorhead clinic on 8th Street and was pleased to hear that it will continue as a Sanford facility but with a specialized focus.

will be a nice addition to our growing community. When you visit the Campus, you’ll see development that is already happening around it. Horizon Shores has recently expanded and the Lake will be a lovely view when you look out of Sanford’s windows. Thank you, Sanford, for being a partner in making Moorhead the best place to live, work and play.
