A cast, orchestra and crew of 75 teens takes to the stage of the Bluestem Amphitheater during the last two weeks of July in “The Addams Family,” the climax of Trollwood Performing Arts Center’s summer program.
The musical comedy is based on the wacky Addams family, well-known from Charles Addams’ cartoons, the 1964 TV series, and films of the 1990s. Patriarch Gomez is faced with every father’s nightmare – daughter Wednesday, the ultimate princess of darkness, has fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a “normal” family. Wednesday confides in her father and begs not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before — keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
Performances are Tuesday through Saturday, July 16-20 and again July 23-27. For reservations, go to , www.trollwood.org/boxoffice, or call 218-477-6502.
