Supporting Local Business

Some may suggest March 1st as a “holiday” in Moorhead. The downtown Moorhead Dairy Queen opens at the same time each year, March 1st. Per usual, the Dairy Queen had a long line of folks waiting to get their frozen goodness on Sunday the 1st. Single digit weather (or lower) does not prevent our committed patrons from venturing out in support of their downtown DQ.

This story is just one example of the countless businesses in Moorhead that have the support and dedication from our residents. For over 60 years, the downtown Dairy Queen in Moorhead has called this home and today is one of just a few original walk-up stores left in the United States.

Businesses that have committed to Moorhead and weathered through the good times and the challenging see the returned commitment from all of you as you continue to support them.

We have a lot to be proud of here in Moorhead with established businesses and we eagerly welcome and embrace new neighbors to keep the wonderful traditions going for generations to come.

See you around town!
