Salmon Cheese Ball

This salmon cheese ball or spread is family favorite any time of year. Sometimes I form the salmon cheese mixture into a ball and roll in chopped parsley and walnuts. This can also be served as spread that I put into small bowl and surround with a variety of crackers. This keeps very well for several days in the refrigerator. I usually remove the skin and bones from the drained salmon.

Salmon Cheese Ball

1 Can salmon (2 cups)

1 8 Ounce package cream cheese, softened

1 Tablespoon lemon juice

2 Tablespoons grated onion

1 Teaspoon horseradish

1/4 Teaspoon salt

1/4 Teaspoon liquid smoke

1/2 Cup chopped walnuts

3 Tablespoon chopped parsley

Combine all the ingredients except nuts and parsley. Chill several hours, shape into a ball and roll in nuts and parsley.
