New Handmade market launches in Moorhead

A dozen artists, bakers, jewelry makers and crafters exhibited their wares at The Handmade Market at Gio’s Grill & Bar on September 26. The free event, hosted by M. Koksela Studios, also featured live musicians.

“There’s not a lot of unique art and crafts vendor shows in the area and we want to welcome and promote art and anything handmade,” said co-organizer Mandy Koskela.

“We really want to get the word out that there are people making their own things,” said co-organizer Sophia Koskela. “We really want to focus on the Minnesota side.”

Additional events are planned. Details are available at www.mkoskelastudios.com.(Photo/Alicia Underlee Nelson)
