Moorhead Council Meetings
According to the City’s website, the City Council typically meets every second, third and fourth Mondays of each month at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers located on first floor of City Hall, 500 Center Avenue. Regular City Council Meetings occur on the second and fourth Mondays. Committee of the Whole meetings take place on the third Mondays. Citizens can view a full list of scheduled City Council meetings on the City’s website.
At regular City Council meetings, the Council acts on official City of Moorhead business. At Committee of the Whole Meetings Council Members discuss City business or other matters of interest as determined by the Council. No official action is taken at Committee of the Whole meetings.

City Council agendas, minutes, video, and resolutions can all be accessed below.
Agendas are typically published the Thursday afternoon preceding the scheduled City Council meeting. This includes the meeting schedule and full packet of agenda-related materials.
Minutes are published following formal Council approval at a subsequent Council meeting.
Video of Council meetings can be viewed live on this page or at any time following the meeting. Meetings are also broadcast on the Moorhead Community Access Media (MCAM) channel. A broadcast schedule can be found on the MCAM website.
Resolutions are formal documents specifically describing a Council approved action. All resolutions approved at each Council meeting are published no later than one week following the Council meeting.

2014 Year Review
The year 2014 was successful for the West Central Minnesota Small Business Development Center (WC MN SBDC). The WC MN SBDC 2014 highlights include: 20 new or purchased businesses, $14,517,069 equity investment raised, 255 unique clients served, 3,510 hours of consulting provided, and 459 jobs created and/or retained.
The WC MN SBDC works with businesses in the west central portion of Minnesota. The program provides no-cost, confidential, professional business consulting to assist people as the start, build and grow their business. These businesses will help stimulate the economy and help promote new job opportunities. The consulting at WC MN SBDC includes, but is not limited to, development, financial projections, expansion, diversification, franchising, loan packaging, patents, marketing plans and business plans.
The WC MN SBDC’s executive director, Cathy Lindquist says, “the SBDC is here to assist entrepreneurs who have an idea and don’t know where to start, to those that are struggling with expansion. We work with all stages of business. In addition to no-cost consulting, our center offers no or low-cost trainings.”
The WC MN SBDC works with college co-op and intern students looking for experience with small businesses. These interns work with social media, marketing research and shadow consultants. The WC MN SBDC partners their clients with classes to provide interactive learning for the students and marketing tools for their clients.
The dean of the Offutt School of Business at Concordia College, Dr. Greg Cant, states, “we chose to host the SBDC because we wanted to provide opportunities for our students. We support their idea of community and wanted to facilitate opportunities for our students to be a part of this growth and give them experiences that go beyond the classroom.”
The West Central Small Business Development Center is one of nine regional offices throughout the state of Minnesota.
