This recipe comes from KFGO’s 2022 Cookbook. The recipe was submitted by Sarah Heinrich. And, it doesn’t get more Midwestern than this…

“My Mother-In-Law’s Sauerkraut Hot Dish”
1 lb. hamburger
2 cans of cream of chicken soup
1 cup dry macaroni
1 16 oz. can sauerkraut, drained
1 medium onion

Brown hamburger with onion, then mix all ingredients together and bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.
