MHS Career Academy Hosts First Career Fair of 2023-24

On October 13, the Moorhead High School Career Academy hosted the Health & Human Potential and Information Technology & Design Thinking Career Fair. It was the first career fair hosted by the Career Academy for the 2023-24 school year.
Tailored to the school’s academies of the same name, the fair welcomed sixteen area employers who offer careers in the fields of Health & Human Potential and IT & Design Thinking.
“Being able to offer specialized career fairs is a benefit to both our students and the community partners who attend, because the students know that the employers are relevant to their interests and the partners know that the students who they talk to are interested in that field,” explained Career Academy Community Outreach Coordinator Tom Dryburgh.
Throughout the day, hundreds of MHS students came through the fair and spoke with the community partners about potential future careers.
Moorhead Area Public Schools and the Career Academy would like to thank the following community partners for participating in this career fair:
Border States Electric
Carpenters & Millwrights Local 1176

“We had a solid turnout for this career fair,” added Dryburgh, “and these events will continue to grow and improve in conjunction with our academies.”
