Part of our Incubator Series, Theatre B will be launching a new work by “B favorite” playwright David MacGregor, writer of Vino Veritas. Scrooge MacBeth, or “A Shakespearean Christmas” takes the meaning of “the show must go on” to a whole new level. When only four actors are left standing after an outbreak of food poisoning, they must entertain an expectant audience in order to save their financially imperiled theatre.

The 11th Annual Lions Christmas in the Park will open Nov. 23rd. Visitors can take a drive through scenic Lincoln Park, located off of Belmont Road and 13th Avenue South, and enjoy holiday lights displays created by local business and organizations. All proceeds will be distributed by the Grand Forks Lions Clubs to local charities and community projects.
Santa Village:

Celebrate the season of giving this holiday season by planning a visit to Santa Village. Santa Village, located on a 15-acre enclosed farm site, is a non-commercial village where children and adults can make holiday memories with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Enjoy the winter wonderland from the Saturday after Thanksgiving until the day before Christmas Eve. Daily activities including a visit with Santa, live reindeer, model train displays, arts and crafts projects, family activities, and light displays.

The Wizard of Oz:

This Christmas FMCT will take you away from the snows of Fargo to the Emerald Green of Oz. This classic tale takes us on the journey of a girl, Young Dorothy who lives on a farm in Kansas where a large tornado picks her house, and her dog up and deposits them in the land of Oz. While searching her way home she meets a Scarecrow who needs a brain, a Tin Man who needs a heart, and a cowardly lion who needs courage. Make FMCT part of your Christmas traditions as you bring your entire family to this classic theatrical production.

Learn about holiday customs including the burning of the Yule log, candles in windows, kissing under the mistletoe, gift giving and the lighting of the Hanukkah Menorah. The show narrates to not only Christian and Jewish traditions but also Celtic, Nordic, Roman, Irish, Mexican and Hopi. The audience will learn a variety of astronomy related details including, hemisphere winter constellations, why we have seasons and the possible astronomical explanations for a “Star over Bethlehem.”
Free Organ Concerts:

Our Holiday organ concerts are free and open to the public. Canned goods will be collected for the food pantry. The organ concerts will be held at noon on Dec. 12-13, at 12:15 on the 16-17, and at noon again on the 18th and 20th. There is no organ concert on the 19th.
