The John Scalia Band Performance:

Location: Brick & Barley Bar & Grill at 9 North 3rd Street in Grand Forks

Cost: $3 cover, no tickets necessary

John Scalia, a member of the band Dirty Word (featuring Kat Perkins from The Voice), is bringing is own crew to Grand Forks from Minneapolis. Specials for the evening include $3 taps and half off pizzas 10:00pm to close. All customers must be 21+.

Toddler Dance Party:

Location: Fargo Public Library Carlson Branch

Calling all toddlers…it’s time to get your winter wiggles and giggles out at our Dance Party just for little ones. There will be lots of music, fun, snacks and dancing. No registration is required.

Lunafest:

Location: Fargo Theatre

Cost: $10

The 2ndannual Lunafest will begin with a Social & Silent Auction at 6pm. Films begin at 7 pm. Lunafest is a traveling film festival that travels to over 150 cities. All proceeds go to benefit the Junior League of Fargo-Moorhead Community Indoor Park and its community outreach programming and the Breast Cancer Fund.

“Clybourne Park” Performance:

Wickedly funny and fiercely provocative play about race, real estate and the volatile values of each inspired by Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun.”

The One Minute Film Festival:

Location: Plains Art Museum in Fargo

The One Minute Film Festival offers an opportunity to playfully rethink what short films can be by presenting hundreds of one-minute films created by more than 300 artists from the East Coast and other regions over a ten-year period. Most are not primarily filmmakers but work in a wide array of mediums, from painting and sculpture to architecture and performance art. The One Minute Film Festival comes to Fargo as a traveling exhibition from the Museum of Contemporary Art-Massachusetts (MASS MoCA).

“Last of the Boys” Performance:

A powerful drama about two Vietnam Vets, a widow, a daughter, and the ghosts that haunt them.

Written by Steven Dietz, directed by Kathy Coudle-King, assisted by Patrick Pearson, starring Rob Howard, Jerry Whery, Emily Elisabeth Caballero, Sandy Grissom, and Camron Burton. Musical accompaniment by Ron Franz. Warrior Words – monologues by living ND Vets will be shared during intermission. Not intended for children.

Dueling Duo Piano Show:

The Dueling Duo is coming to Grand Forks! Andy Gibson and Ryno make a great pair and can do almost any request you throw at them! 23rd Annual Hands-On Learning Fair:

The Hands-On Learning Fair is marking its 23rd year as a FREE community celebration. Exciting learning activities for children birth to age 7 are offered, including art, science, water play, music, dramatic play, stories and much, much more. Early Years are Learning Years is the theme for this year’s learning fair, which is in observance of the Week of the Young Child and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Family Day at the Museum:

Location: North Dakota Museum of Art in Grand Forks

Family Day is a day where children of all ages and adults come together to work on projects that help us understand the Museum exhibit or learn about techniques and materials. Drop in or stay the entire time. There is no admission, although donations to cover materials are always welcome.

Haydn’s Creation:

Location: Chester Fritz Auditorium in Grand Forks

The Grand Forks Community Chorale presents Franz Joseph Haydn’s Creation under the baton of Artistic Director Dr. Joshua Bronfman. This choral masterwork will combine the talents of Grand Forks newest choir, the Grand Forks Community Chorale, with UND’s Concert Choir, Varsity Bards, and Allegro Women’s Choir, as well as players from the Greater Grand Forks Symphony Orchestra. The performance is sponsored by the Grand Forks Master Chorale and the UND Department of Music.

Cooking with the Kiddos:

Cosmic Colors: An Adventure along the Spectrum:
