“Dearly Departed” Performance:

Location: Fire Hall Theater in Grand Forks

You’ll die laughing at this hilarious comedy set somewhere between the Mason-Dixie line. And each performance will feature a different local celebrity actor: Look for Mayors Mike Brown (GF) and Stauss (EGF), as well as President Kelly from UND, among others!

Benefit for Grant Cambell:

Location: Holy Family Catholic Church at 1018 18thAve. S. in Grand Forks

A benefit will be held to benefit 18-year old Grant Campbell, a fall-semester UND student and 2013 Red River High School graduate. Campbell, the son of Dan and Pat Campbell, is rehabilitating in La Crosse, WI after suffering a stroke in early January while downhill skiing during a trip to visit family. The benefit features a taco-in-a-bag meal and a silent auction.

Gruesome Playground Injuries” Performance:

Location: Theatre B at 716 Main Ave in Fargo

Date: February 20 – 22

Cost: $5 – $20

Eight year-olds Doug and Kayleen meet in a school nurse’s office, beginning a lifelong intimacy which is revealed through the physical and emotional injuries they sustain over 30 years, a different kind of love story through sharp humor and even sharper insights into the human condition.

“Forbidden Broadway” Performance:

Location: The Stage at Island Park

Date: February 20 – 23

Time: Thursday – Saturday 7:30pm, Sunday 2:00pm

Cost: $10 – $20

The show is a cabaret revue sharply spoofing show tunes, characters and plots of contemporary and current Broadway musicals. “Forbidden Broadway” has mocked popular shows like the “Phantom of the Opera,” “Wicked,” and “Les Miserables” to name a few. It also targets famous Broadway actors, writers, composers, directors, and choreographers and producers.

Sweet Papa Dave Band:

Location: Empire Arts Center at 415 Demers Ave. in Grand Forks

The Sweet Papa Dave Band is an exciting energy filled Variety Band! They have the ability to weave their warm personalities, outlook on life and gritty soulful Blues into a captivating performance that satisfies their crowds!

Mick Foley: Tales From Wrestling Past:

Location: Prime Comedy Club at The Hub in Fargo

The Red River Valley Home & Garden Show, now in its 53rd year, showcases the diverse products and services available in today’s building industry with quality exhibits. Exhibits include contractors, flooring, siding, spas, windows, water purification, decks, heating/air conditioning, interior decorating and design, kitchen and bath design, cabinetry, garage doors, financial lending and more. Feature presenter will be David Sheinkopf from HDTV’sDesign on a Dime.

Unglued Craft Fest:

Location: Plains Art Museum in Fargo

Cost: Friday $15 in advance and $20 at the door, Saturday Free

The Unglued Craft Fest, which fills up three floors with wonderfully unique finds, is a must-do for any fan of indie crafts, handmade goods, and the DIY movement. Friday night is the Craft Gala, a ticketed event with early shopping, appetizers, and drinks. The activities on Saturday are free and include workshops for kids and adults, and live music.
