Meet Moorhead’s Businesses at First MBA Expo

The Moorhead Business Association is inviting the city’s residents to get to know their local businesses better at an afternoon of networking, food and connections.
The first annual MBA Expo takes place Thursday, June 27, at the Courtyard by Marriott. From 4 to 7 p.m., some 40 businesses are expected to be on hand in the hotel’s conference center to share their stories, providing insight into both what’s new and the services that have called Moorhead home over the years.
“It’s going to be a good opportunity for everyone to network and get to know our neighbors, and for businesses – whether new entrepreneurs or seasoned – to showcase their products and services,” says Sheri Larson, the MBA’s executive director.
At press time, about half of the vendor booths had already been reserved. “We’re inviting both MBA members and non-members from throughout Moorhead-Fargo to join us,” she emphasizes. For more information on participation, go to www.mhdmba.org or contact Sheri at 218-284-4643.
The first-ever showcase of local businesses started out, the director says, as a regular edition of the organization’s monthly 560 Connect sessions, this time hosted by the Courtyard by Marriott. “But when we heard about all the remodeling and features that have been accomplished there, this seemed like a perfect time to combine it with their open house.”
The Courtyard is sponsoring a highlight of the Expo – a scavenger hunt in which attendees can hunt for clues throughout its facility. Those who complete the hunt will be eligible for prizes, including a two-night stay at the hotel and other luxury services, including massages for two by Elite Therapeutic Massage.
Expo tickets, $29 per person, are available online at eventbrite.com.
