Moorhead Public Schools

MOORHEAD – Students from Moorhead Area Public Schools (MAPS) and Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) will meet on the floor for an Adaptive Soccer event on October 25. The game will kick off at 10 a.m. inside Nemzek Hall on the campus of MSUM. The game will feature a matchup of students from Transitions Plus, the district’s special services program for students ages 18-22, against MSUM’s Student Council for Exceptional Children.
Saturday’s game is coordinated in partnership with the ARC of Minnesota, West Central Regional Quality Council, MSUM Student Council for Exceptional Children, National Student Speech Language Hearing Association MSUM chapter and Hope Inc.
This special event aims to promote inclusion, teamwork and fun, showcasing the abilities of all participants from both schools. Adaptive sports provide opportunities for people of all abilities to engage in physical activity in an inclusive and supportive environment.
The event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend and show support for these amazing student athletes.
