Liver Pate’

The recipe for Liver Pate’ is one that my sister has made for years and I look forward to having this for the Holidays. I have to tell you a funny about this recipe. My sister, Mavis said that she would once again be bringing Liver Pate’ for an appetizer. Lois, another sister said, “Ish! I hate that crap!” Mavis replied, “I’ve been making it for 25 years and you are just telling me that now?” Well, I for one really enjoy the pate’ and I have always brought the leftovers home with me. Keep on making this for us, Mavis! It is easy to make and is especially good with soda crackers.

Liver Pate’

2 8 Ounce tubes of braunschweiger

1/4 Cup Mayonnaise

1/3 Cup minced onion

1/3 Cup chopped dill pickle

1 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

3 Drops tabasco sauces (or to taste)

Mix all the above ingredients together. Form into a ball and refrigerate several hours or overnight.

Combine thoroughly:

8 Ounces softened cream cheese

1/4 Cup sour cream

1 1/2 Teaspoons prepared mustard

Frost and garnish with sliced stuffed olives.
