Moorhead’s Horizon Middle School presents “HONK!,” the musical comedy based on Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Ugly Duckling” at 7 p.m. Feb. 27, Feb. 28 and March 1 and 2 p.m. March 2 at the Moorhead High School auditorium, 2300 4th Ave. S. The Feb. 27 performance will be sign language interpreted.
More than 100 Horizon Middle School students are involved in producing “HONK!” The entertaining family musical tells of a young duckling named Ugly whose odd, gawky looks instantly incite prejudice from his family and neighbors. Separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry Cat, Ugly must find his way home. Along his rollicking and harrowing journey he not only discovers his true beauty and glorious destiny, but also finds love and acceptance in all its forms.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are on sale online at www.moorheadschools.org/tix with no service fees. Beginning Feb. 18, tickets may be reserved through the box office at 218-284-2255 for a service fee of $1 per adult ticket and $.50 per student ticket.
