Spanish Storytime with Sra. Mónica Oliveras: 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Spanish speakers and learners alike are welcome for a Spanish Storytime at the Moorhead Public Library. Join local Spanish Immersion teacher Sra. Mónica Olivares for stories and language exchange, free.
Women in the Director’s Chair Film Series: Winter’s Bone (Debra Granik, 2010, rated R). 2 p.m. The job of film director was a man’s job for decades. Join us as we honor four female directors who broke the glass ceiling and made terrific films. Local film critic Matt Olien hosts the film series and leads a short discussion following each screening. Movies in the community room at the downtown Fargo Library. Free popcorn too! Moorhead garbage/recycling picked up Feb. 18; City offices closed. Monday garbage/recycling will be picked up on Tuesday. All other garbage/recycling pickup that week will be on normal days. The change may cause early or delayed collection on Tuesday; set your trash out by 4:00 am to ensure it is collected. MATBUS Routes will run normally, and the Ground Transportation Center will be open. Administration offices will be closed.
Game Night for Adults: 6 to 8 p.m. Join us to play games and chat during the chilly months. Bring your favorite card or board game, or try one of ours! Refreshments will be provided. Moorhead Public Library, free.

FM Kicks Band’s Big Band Bash: 1:30 to 5 p.m. An afternoon filled with big band jazz, featuring 90 musicians performing in five different groups. Highlights of the event include performances by the El Zagal Shrine Big Band from Fargo, the Beachfront Big Band from Detroit Lakes, the Dakota Jazz Band from Fargo, the Classic Swing Band from Grand Forks, N.D., and the FM Kicks Band.
