Guest Night with Acapella Express, 6:30 pm @ Trinity Lutheran Church at 210 7th St. S. in Moorhead. Acapella Express is offering women in the community and elsewhere an opportunity to join the chorus in an introductory evening of barbershop singing at its best. No previous experience with the genre necessary. Free.
Special Olympics North Dakota – Fans in the Stands, 6:30 pm @ Broadway and the Fargo Civic Center. Special Olympics North Dakota Summer Games kick off on June 6th with the Parade of Athletes. We invite you to join us for Fans in the Stands, an opportunity to line Broadway and cheer on the athletes as they make their way to the Opening Ceremonies at the Fargo Civic Center.
West Fargo Summer Concert Series, 8:00 pm @ POW/MAI Plaza at Sheyenne Street and 4th Ave. W. in West Fargo. Bud Light presents the West Fargo Summer Concert Series at the POW/MIA Plaza on Sheyenne Street in West Fargo. Bring your own lawn chair and enjoy music by The Solos. Concert is free and all ages. Friday, June 7:
Water Safety Day, 10:00 am @ All Fargo Public Pools. Water Safety Day events include activities designed to teach kids to stay safe while having fun in the water, such as the “Throw, Don’t Go” strategy, back floating skills, safe usage of life jackets, swim tests, general water safety skills, information for parents or daycares and more! Following the event, pools will open for the day as scheduled with regular admission rates.
Saturday, June 8:
Share A Story, 9:00 am @ Rheault Farm at 2902 25th St. S. in Fargo. Join us for the 16th Annual Share-A-Story event where families enjoy stories shared through music, dance and performances by local community members. Children and their parents will enjoy fun activities such as story-telling and musical performances plus be able to take home a free book. Face painting, balloons, and lunch will also be a part of the festivities. Free Picnic Lunch served from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Daughters of Norway Meeting, 10:00 am @ Bethesda Lutheran Church at 401 40th Ave. S. in Moorhead. Program presentation “What Makes Norway So Happy?” by Mike Williams, a look at what Norway is doing in health care, energy, education, art, transportation, and urban development. Refreshments served. Visitors welcome.

G.O.T – Gathering on Tuesdays, 5:30 pm @ Island Park in Fargo. The new Summer Series kicks Party in the Park up a notch by pairing it with either a movie night or a show from a live local band. Each G.O.T event starts with a party that includes face painting, an art project, a DJ and so much more! Don’t forget your chairs because following each party, you’re invited to stick around for a feature movie on the big inflatable screen or a live concert in the park. June 11: Movie- Starts at dusk.
