Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

Storytime and Craft: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, special guests and more. Storytime typically lasts for an hour and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Free.

Friday, April 7

ROURKEART4ALL: 1:00 – 5:00 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. Free. 

Todd Pretzer Benefit: 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Wild Rice Bar & Grill at 205 Wild Rice. Silent & Live auction to benefit Todd Pretzer will be held at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill.  Todd is battling colorectal cancer.

Saturday, April 8

Coffee & Critique: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. The Rourke invites you to Coffee and Critique, an informal monthly community critique for bouncing ideas off your fellow artists and gaining fresh perspective from others in and outside of your own discipline. Bring your unfinished work and mull it over. Bring your own supplies for open studio time. Or simply pull up a chair for coffee and fellowship with the artistic community. This event is free and open to all media and all career stages.

Earth Day Storytime: 10:30 – 11:15 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Toddlers, preschoolers, and families are invited to Saturday Storytime with special guest Shannon Thompson of Clay County Waste Services. Join us for Earth Day-themed stories, rhymes, and activities. Storytime typically lasts for 30-45 minutes and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Free.

Easter Egg Scramble: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Atonement Lutheran Church at 4601 S University Dr. in Fargo. This family event features an Easter egg hunt, bounce houses, a petting zoo, face painting, roasted peeps, concessions, and more. This event is free and open to the public.

Dust off your favorite painting supplies, grab a good friend, and let’s paint and learn together. All levels welcome. Potential inspiration will be provided, or you can bring your own. MBA’s Let’s Talk Business ft. Moorhead Police Dept. Youth & Family Services Unit: 12:00 – 1:00 pm. Moorhead American Legion at 303 30th St. N. Featuring the Moorhead Police Department Youth & Family Services (YFS) Unit: Brandon Heide, School Resource Officer and Leann Wallin, Community Policing Coordinator.

Memory Café: 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. Topic: “I Didn’t Sign Up for This”, Rollie Johnson, Lay Pastor and Director, First Lutheran Church.

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.

Lego Club: 6:00 – 7:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for a weekly program to challenge kids’ creativity as they build amazing structures using LEGOs. This event is geared towards ages 5-10. Free.

Waiting for Outlander Book Club: 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join the Waiting for Outlander Book Club to discuss “The Book Haters’ Book Club” by Gretchen Anthony. This book club meets each month to discuss the works of Diana Gabaldon and books similar to the “Outlander” series. Free.

Guest Artist Recital: 7:30 pm. Christiansen Recital Hall at Concordia College. Featuring Luca Braga, violin and Massimiliano Baggio, piano. Free.
