Visiting author featuring Candace Simar: Featuring her latest book “Sister Lumberjack.” Join your library for an author visit with multi-award winning Minnesota author and poet. Simar’s latest novel is set in the forests of northern Minnesota. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Moorhead Public Library, free.
Waiting for Outlander Book Club: Discuss the works of Diana Gabaldon and books related to the “Outlander” series. This month we are discussing “Terminal Alliance” by Jim C. Hines. 7 to 8 p.m., Moorhead Public Library, free.
Quilting group: Socialize with other quilters while working on your own project. Individuals come together to share their knowledge, ideas, and techniques. All skill levels welcome. 12:30 to 4 p.m. Moorhead’s Hjemkomst Center.
Memory Cafe: Music and laubghter with Jerry Barnum. A free social gathering where people experiencing mild to moderate memory loss, and their care partners, come together in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. National Stuttering Association: The Moorhead Chapter of the National Stuttering Association (NSA) will meet at 6 p.m. in Murray Hall on the MSUM campus. This is a live event with a Zoom option. The discussion topic will be “A new course in stuttering therapy for children.” Anyone who stutters, supports people who stutter or has an interest in stuttering is welcome. Free parking (after 5 p.m.) is available in the parking lot directly east of Murray Hall. Please text Bruce at 701-261-9734 to receive the Zoom link.
