Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

NDSU Jazz Festival Concert: Thursday and Friday 5:30 – 7:30 pm. NDSU Festival Concert Hall at 1511 12th Ave. N. The 41st Annual Jazz Festival will be held at the Challey School of Music. $5 adults | $2 seniors | Free for NDSU students with ID.

Pancake Breakfast: 7:00 – 11:00 am. Moorhead Masonic Center at 1815 11th St. N. Cost is $10 for all you can eat buttermilk and Swedish pancakes, sausage, and eggs.

Stars of PBS Planetarium and Science Family Event: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. MSUM Planetarium at 1104 7th Ave. S. in Moorhead. The program “One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure” will show in the planetarium every 45 minutes, starting at 9:45 am, with the last show at 3 pm. Across the Street in MSUM’s Center for Business, you’ll find excellent science demonstrations, children’s activities, a meet and greet with PBS KIDS character Clifford, and more fun. Free.

Model Railroad Day: 10:00 am- 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join the Moorhead Public Library and the Red River Valley Chapter of the National Railroad Historical Society to view their collections of model trains and learn about model railroads, railway history, and more. This event is offered free-of-charge and is open to the public.

Sleigh Rides at M.B. Johnson Park: 1:00 – 4:00 pm. M.B. Johnson Park at 3601 Oakport St. N. in Moorhead. Enjoy a sleigh ride through the beautiful and scenic M.B. Johnson Park. Check in and enjoy Frostival treats and refreshments in the small shelter. Reservations are advised and can be made by calling 218.299.5340. Tickets may be available on-site if space allows. Admission is $5/person (children 2 and under are free).

Frostival: Candlelight Trail Walk: 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Viking Ship Park at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. Take a scenic stroll around Viking Ship Park. Check out telescopes and learn about constellations and Jupiter from the MSUM Planetarium and FM Astronomy Club around a fire manned by Midwest Outdoors. Play gaga ball and other outdoor games, and enjoy s’mores, hot dogs and hot chocolate. Take advantage of free cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals and free museum entry courtesy of the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County.

Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, and more. Storytime typically lasts for an hour and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Craft supplies are provided free of charge.

Wednesday, February 7

Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response Office Hours: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Stop by the Moorhead Public Library on the first Wednesday of the month to get access to adult mental health services. Available services may include Aftercare, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, Case Management, Community Support Programs and Day Treatment, Housing Support, Referrals and much more. 24/7 phone support available by calling 1-800-223-4512.

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.

Giving Hearts Day Open House: 4:00 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join the Friends of the Moorhead Library for an Open House celebrating their first year participating in Giving Hearts Day. To honor the occasion, the Friends will offer refreshments and entertainment, including a performance by Imagination Theater, activities, library tours and more. This event is open to everyone and is offered free-of-charge.
