Recovery Engaged Communities (REC) Office Hours: 10:00 – 11:30 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. A representative from Recovery Engaged Communities will be available to strengthen and empower individuals in the recovery community by creating hope, healing, and sustainable change through support, education, and advocacy. Free.

Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

The Holocaust Letters – Stories from the Imprisoned: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. In observance of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, join us for a special presentation on Holocaust letters from Jewish concentration camps by Professor Adam Goldwyn Ph.D. from NDSU. Free.

In My Adventure Girl Era Party: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Fargo Air Museum at 1609 19th Ave. N. in Fargo. Making friends, testing her strengths, overcoming new obstacles. The possibilities are endless during her Adventure Girl Era. Join us at a free, community event for girls in K-12 featuring friendship bracelets for you and your BFF, cookie tasting, custom thinking putty, and free gifts and membership deals.

Fun at the Fortress: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. Embrace the cool of winter with a day of outdoor activities and events: free cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals, gaga ball and other games, a hot chocolate station and marshmallow roast, beer for purchase and bock poking from Swing Barrel Brewing Co., a scavenger hunt, DJ, face-painting, balloon-tying, and much more frosty fun. Register for free activities including a Snowshoe Hike hosted by River Keepers, indoor and outdoor yoga and Dance Attack. Kiwanis Club of Moorhead Foundation Chili + Fundraiser: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. During Fun at the Frozen Fortress, enjoy great chili and hot dogs with all the trimmings inside the Hjemkomst Center in support of the Kiwanis Club of Moorhead Foundation’s annual fundraiser. $10/adult, $8/student, children 7 and under free with donation.

Sing From Your Heart Chorus “Peace, Joy, and Love” Concert: 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 613 16th St. S. in Fargo. Sing From Your Heart Chorus, a new chorus for persons living with memory loss and dementia, and their care partners. Free.

Opera – “A Hand of Bridge” and “An Embarrassing Position”: 2:30 – 3:30 pm. Centrum, Knutson Campus Center at Concordia College in Moorhead. Clocking in at just 10 minutes long, Samuel Barber’s operatic miniature “A Hand of Bridge” premiered in 1959 and remains one of the shortest operatic works commonly performed onstage. Concordia College students will perform the piece, as well as a second short opera, Dan Shore’s “An Embarrassing Position.” Free.

64th Red River Valley Coin Club Coin Show and Sale: Saturday, January 27th and Sunday January 28th, 2024 at the Ramada by Wyndham Fargo; 3333 13th Avenue South; Fargo ND from 9AM-5PM on Saturday and 10AM-4PM on Sunday, free admission and door prizes.

S’mores & More at Centennial Park: 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Centennial Park at 4101 25th St. S. in Fargo. Join us at S’mores & More for a night out with the family. Cook your own S’mores, drink hot chocolate, listen to music and skate on an outdoor rink. This event is free and open to the public.

Lego Club: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for weekly LEGO build challenges where we work on problem solving, engineering, and critical thinking. Free.

Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership Office Hours: 2:30 – 4:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership (CAPLP) provides a wide array of programs and services that are designed to meet the unique needs of the children, families and seniors that live in the communities we serve. All programs and services work together to help achieve the organization’s mission to Eliminate Poverty, Empower Families, and Engage Communities using a holistic approach to helping people build a better future for their families. Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, and more. Storytime typically lasts for an hour and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Craft supplies are provided free of charge.

41st Annual NDSU Jazz Festival Concert: Thursday and Friday 5:30 – 7:30 pm. NDSU Festival Concert Hall at 1511 12th Ave. N. in Fargo. Admission for the concerts is $5 for adults, $2 for seniors, and free for NDSU students with ID.
