Recovery Engaged Communities (REC) Office Hours: 10:00 – 11:30 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. A representative from Recovery Engaged Communities will be available to strengthen and empower individuals in the recovery community by creating hope, healing, and sustainable change through support, education, and advocacy. We approach stigma like a crossroads, with a lens to advocate for change. Free.

Saturday, January 13
Pancake Breakfast: 7:00 – 11:00 am. Moorhead Masonic Center at 1815 11th St. N. Cost is $10 for all you can eat buttermilk and Swedish pancakes, sausage, and eggs.

Winter Woodturning Extravaganza: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. In the Chips at 303 21st St. N. in Moorhead. The Minn-Dak Woodturners Association invites the public to learn more about the art and craft of woodturning at the 2024 Winter Woodturning Extravaganza. This free event will feature several skilled turners demonstrating multiple projects and techniques, such as bowls, pens, goblets, vases, hollow forms, and spindles, and answering questions about shaping wood on a lathe.

Tjugondag Knut Celebration: 4:00 – 6:00 pm. Messiah Lutheran Church at 2010 Elm St. N. in Fargo. Come and celebrate Swedish Tjugondag Knut (20 days after Christmas). Pea soup and holiday treats served. Bring a treat to share. Dance around the Christmas tree and plunder it for candy. Family Friendly. Donations accepted.

Sunday, January 14
ROURKEART4ALL: 1:00 – 5:00 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. Free.

Circuit 721 Concert: 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Christiansen Recital Hall at Concordia College. The Circuit 721 concert series, which started in 2017, is a yearly recital that focuses on electroacoustic music from prominent composers (including faculty and alumni). Free.

Red River Singles Potluck/Social/Game Event: 3:00 – 7:00 pm. 2820 12th Ave. S. in Moorhead. Singles of Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding area are welcomed to attend all Red River Singles Events. All Potluck-Social-Game Events are intended for those over 20 years old. A main food item is available until gone. Participants may bring food or games to share, but not required. It’s a place to have fun, eat good food, relax, and meet people. Free.

Monday, January 15

Frostival Bouncin’ Bash: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm. Rustad Recreation Center at 601 26th Ave. E. in West Fargo. Enjoy the day off school and bring the kids to the Rustad Recreation Center for a fun day of indoor excitement and inflatable games. There will even be a special Little Jumpers area for kiddos ages 5 and under. Wristbands for jumpers are $8/person at the door and get you access to our indoor playground, open turf, and all 3 gyms filled with inflatable games. Parents and guardians are free. An adult must accompany all participants.

S’mores & More at Clara Barton Park: 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Clara Barton Park at 1451 6th St. S. in Fargo. Join us at S’mores & More for a night out with the family. Cook your own S’mores, drink hot chocolate, listen to music and skate on an outdoor rink. Don’t forget to bring your skates. (No skate rentals available). The rink and warming house are available to use during the event. This event is free and open to the public.

Lego Club: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for weekly LEGO build challenges where we work on problem solving, engineering, and critical thinking. Free.

Tuesday, January 16

Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership Office Hours: 2:30 – 4:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership (CAPLP) provides a wide array of programs and services that are designed to meet the unique needs of the children, families and seniors that live in the communities we serve. Free.

Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Craft supplies are provided free of charge.
