Year End Movie Marathon: 9:00 am – 9:00 pm Thursday and 10:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday and Saturday. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Don’t miss the Moorhead Library’s end-of-the-year Movie Marathon. Come in and enjoy movies and free popcorn all day for the last week of 2023. Recovery Engaged Communities (REC) Office Hours: 10:00 – 11:30 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. A representative from Recovery Engaged Communities will be available to strengthen and empower individuals in the recovery community by creating hope, healing, and sustainable change through support, education, and advocacy. We approach stigma like a crossroads, with a lens to advocate for change. Free.

Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

Sleigh Rides: 1:00 – 4:00 pm Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday; 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Wednesday. M.B. Johnson Park at 3601 Oakport St. N. in Moorhead. Take a scenic sleighride through the beautiful park. Reservations can be made by calling 218-299-5340. Tickets can also be purchased on-site if space allows. Free hot chocolate and cookies. $5 per person, children under age 2 free.

New Year’s Eve Winter Party: 2:00 – 4:00 pm. West Fargo Public Library at 215 Third St. E. in West Fargo. Join us for a daytime New Year’s Eve celebration at the library complete with treats, party hats, noisemakers and lots of fun. This event is free and open to the public.

Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership Office Hours: 2:30 – 4:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership (CAPLP) provides a wide array of programs and services that are designed to meet the unique needs of the children, families and seniors that live in the communities we serve. All programs and services work together to help achieve the organization’s mission to Eliminate Poverty, Empower Families, and Engage Communities using a holistic approach to helping people build a better future for their families. Free.

Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, and more. Storytime typically lasts for an hour and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Craft supplies are provided free of charge.

Wednesday, January 3
Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response Office Hours: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Stop by the first Wednesday of the month to get access to adult mental health services, supported by the Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response, offered by Clay County Department of Human Services. Available services may include Aftercare, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, Case Management, Community Support Programs and Day Treatment, Housing Support, Referrals and much more. Free.

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.
