Recovery Engaged Communities (REC) Office Hours: 10:00 – 11:30 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. A representative from Recovery Engaged Communities will be available to strengthen and empower individuals in the recovery community by creating hope, healing, and sustainable change through support, education, and advocacy. We approach stigma like a crossroads, with a lens to advocate for change. Free.

Holiday Block Party at 8th and Main: 5:00 – 9:00 pm. 8th and Main businesses at 11 8th St. S. in Fargo. Join the businesses of 8th & Main in Downtown Fargo to celebrate the season with a Holiday Block Party. Free.

Friday, December 1
ROURKEART4ALL: 1:00 – 5:00 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. Free.

Performance of “Decked!”: Friday and Saturday 7:30 pm and Sunday 2:00 pm. Theatre B at 215 N. 10th St. S. in Moorhead. With a nod to the classics “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Carol,” Decked!” is a seriocomic holiday play that explores themes of letting go and moving on. Tickets $10-$25.

Saturday, December 2
Pancake Breakfast: 7:00 – 11:00 am. Moorhead Masonic Center at 1815 11th St. N. Cost is $10 for all you can eat buttermilk and Swedish pancakes, sausage, and eggs.

Holiday Open House: 1:00- 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join the Friends of the Moorhead Public Library for refreshments, music by the Red River Harp Ensemble, a mini book sale and an exhibit of German American style Putz Houses. These handmade miniature homes are enchanting replicas of historic homes found in Moorhead, Fargo, and Clay County. Artist Kelly Wambach will be in attendance to answer questions about the exhibit and share stories about the houses. Free.

Santa Village: Saturday and Sunday 1:00 – 6:00 pm. Rheault Farm at 2902 25th St. S. in Fargo. Bring the whole family to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, meet Santa’s reindeer, and more holiday fun. Santa Village is a free event, located on a 15-acre enclosed farm site, where children and adults can make holiday memories. Participate in the Season of Giving by bringing donations of canned goods, cash and new or gently used toys for local organizations. Remember to dress warm and bring your camera.

Sunday, December 3
Holiday Dance & Ugly Sweater Contest: 2:00 – 4:30 pm. Comstock Memorial Union at MSUM in Moorhead. Featuring music from the Kicks Band of Fargo Moorhead. Prizes for Best Holiday Dress and Best Ugly Sweater. Free dance lessons with Lindy of the North from 2:00 – 2:30 pm. $5 admission.

“Katharine the Great” Film Series: “On Golden Pond”: 2:00 pm. Fargo Library Main in Fargo. Local film critic Matt Olien will introduce the movie and lead a brief discussion after the screening. Free popcorn will be served during the screenings. Children ages 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Free.

Skate with Santa: 2:15 – 4:15 pm. Moorhead Sports Center at 324 24th St. S. in Moorhead. Grab your friends and family, lace up your skates and enjoy free open skate with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Limited sizes of skates available to rent.

LEGO Club: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for a weekly program to challenge kids’ creativity as they build amazing structures using LEGOs. This event is geared towards ages 5-10. Free.

Tuesday, December 5
Clay County Commission Meeting: 8:30 am. Clay County Courthouse at 807 11th St. N. in Moorhead.

Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership Office Hours: 2:30 – 4:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership (CAPLP) provides a wide array of programs and services that are designed to meet the unique needs of the children, families and seniors that live in the communities we serve.

Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Craft supplies are provided free of charge.

Jazz Bands Concert: 7:30 – 9:00 pm. Christiansen Recital Hall, Hvidsten Hall of Music at Concordia College in Moorhead. With three jazz bands and three vocal jazz ensembles, there are plenty of opportunities to be involved in the jazz program. Free.

Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response Office Hours: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Stop by the Moorhead Public Library on the first Wednesday of the month to get access to adult mental health services, supported by the Mobile Mental Health Crisis Response, offered by Clay County Department of Human Services. Available services may include Aftercare, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services, Case Management, Community Support Programs and Day Treatment, Housing Support, Referrals and much more. Free.

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.
