FM International Potluck: 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Concordia College at 901 8th St. S. in Moorhead. FM International Potluck and Concordia College have joined forces and invited community members such as yourself to join us in a warm meal welcome to Fargo-Moorhead’s Tri-College student communities. Greater Moorhead Days Parade: 6:00 pm. 20th St (northbound from 28th Ave S to 14th Ave S). Join us as our community steps out to shine with floats and fleets from area businesses and organizations to the theme “Moorhead: Out of this World.” 

Greater Moorhead Days Community Social: After parade. North side of MState campus. The Moorhead Human Rights Commission and Inclusive Moorhead, in partnership with MState, will host a community social immediately after the Greater Moorhead Days parade. Stop by for snacks, games, and music. Enjoy socializing with other great Moorhead folks. Free.

Saturday, September 9

The Red River Market: 10:00 am. Broadway Square in Downtown Fargo. Free.

Coffee & Critique: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. The Rourke invites you to Coffee and Critique, an informal monthly community critique for bouncing ideas off your fellow artists and gaining fresh perspective from others in and outside of your own discipline. Bring your unfinished work and mull it over. Or simply pull up a chair for coffee and fellowship with the artistic community. This event is free and open to all media and all career stages.

Greater Moorhead Days Concert: FM Kicks Band + Folklorico: 3:00 – 5:00 pm. Memorial Park at 111 8th St. N. This free concert will showcase talented musicians spanning the genres of jazz, funk, blues and Latin and open with a performance from Fargo Folklorico and the FM Kicks Band. Games and crafts will be available.

Our Local Plate: Farm Fest + Marketplace: 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Doubting Thomas Farms at 12506 20th St. N. in Moorhead. Activities for the whole family. Shop the farmers market and enjoy chef demos and a savory meal from Heart-n-Soul Community Café, all featuring the local bounty of the season. A fun-filled day celebrating family farms, sustainable food sources and the economic impact of investing in local farmers, ranchers, and makers. Free.

Join us for an evening with author Carroll Engelhardt for a look into his book, “By the Sweat Of His Brow,” and into the Probstfield family with multi-generational journal logs & vintage photographs. Free.

Lego Club: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for weekly LEGO build challenges where we work on problem solving, engineering, and critical thinking. This event is geared towards ages 5-10. Free.

River Arts at the Moorhead Farmers’ Market: 3:30 – 6:30 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. The Moorhead Farmers Market makes for a great place to Get Fresh and Go Local. Items for sale include vegetables, fruit, baked goods, honey, jams, flowers, pet products and hand-crafted pieces. Hear live local Music at the Market from Twelve Strings 3-5 pm and Heart & Soul 5:30-7 pm.

Midco Kids Fest: 4:30 – 7:00 pm. Bluestem Amphitheatre at 801 50th Ave. S. in Moorhead. Free family fun with inflatable games, music, carriage and barrel car rides, a petting zoo, concessions and so much more.

Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, and more. Craft supplies are provided free of charge.

Dancing at The Rourke with Lindy of the North: 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. Lindy of the North will be at the Rourke Art Gallery + Museum every other Tuesday. This is a free event for the community and begins with a basic swing dance lesson at 7 pm. Donations are welcome to support Lindy of the North and the museum. No experience or partner required.

Moorhead Library Used Book Sale: 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Find book bargains and support the Friends of the Moorhead Library at the fall Used Book Sale. Books will be individually priced Thursday and Friday and customers are invited to fill a bag for $5 on Saturday.

Trails at Stonemill Park Carnival: 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Trails at Stonemill Park at 4449 Blue Stem Way in Moorhead. Bring your family and friends to the Stonemill Park Carnival for an evening of kid’s carnival games, inflatable games, balloon twisting and a magic show by Jeffrey Salveson, and face painting by Pikadilly Face Painting. The magic show starts at 6pm. Free.

Sunset On The Riverfront: 6:00 – 9:00 pm. Riverfront in Moorhead. This outdoor event will feature live music, food, artist market, and family activities. Free parking across the street at Moorhead Center Mall. 

Greater Moorhead Days College Bash: 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Sunset Lanes at 620 US-75 in Moorhead. Free cosmic bowling and arcade games for students, plus music from DJ Pretty Ricky.
