Giving Hearts Day Hangar Dance, 6:00 pm @ Fargo Air Museum at 1609 19th Ave. N. Here’s what Lindy of the North is up to for Giving Hearts Day – a hangar dance to benefit Fargo Air Museum’s youth camps. Take a quick dance lesson, followed by live music courtesy of Boogie Knights. Food and drinks available for purchase while supplies last. Fun for the entire family. Dress in your best vintage dance outfit for a chance to win $100. No partner or experience needed. $0-$8.

Moorhead National Stuttering Association February Chapter Meeting, 6:00 pm @ Murray Hall at MSUM. The Moorhead Chapter of the National Stuttering Association (NSA) invites people who stutter, their family members or significant others along with those with an interest in better understanding stuttering to attend.  Each month there is a discussion topic associated with stuttering.

LEGO Club, 6:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. LEGO builders of all ages and abilities are welcome to come make their own Lego creation at our Lego Club. Supplies provided to build, but make sure to bring your imagination. Free.

Red River Valley Beekeepers February Meeting, 6:30 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. This event is for beekeepers or those interested in beekeeping in the Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding areas and is open to the public. We will be holding a Meet N Greet for our current, new members and those interested in becoming beekeepers. We will be discussing plans for 2020 and answering questions you may have regarding beekeeping.

Centennial Scholars Lecture, 7:00 pm @ Morrie Jones Conference Suite A/B, Knutson Campus Center at Concordia College. Dr. Graeme Wyllie, associate professor of chemistry at Concordia, and student co-researchers Sofia Palme ’21 and Andrew H. Johnson ’20. The lecture, “Improving Student Understanding of Polarity in the General Chemistry Laboratory.” Free.

Friday, Feb 14:

Fargo VA Heart Health Fair, 8:00 am @ Fargo VA at 2101 Elm St. N. The Fargo VA will host a Heart Health Fair from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the medical center’s third floor auditorium. The event features multiple drawings for door prizes and giveaways. There will be drawings for two Fitbits, three $25 Hornbacher’s gift cards, and other exercise and health-related prizes. Plus, free gift bags packed with healthy items for all who attend. Free.

Concordia Faculty Recital: John Roberts, 7:30 pm @ Christiansen Recital Hall at Concordia College.

Saturday, Feb 15:

62nd Annual Pancake Karnival, 7:00 am @ Fargodome. This annual tradition has become one of the largest and most recognizable social and charitable events in the region, serving more than 10,000 people and over 30,000 pancakes each year at the Fargodome. This event was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records AND in the best-selling book “1,000 Place to See Before You Die.” $8, kids under age 2 free.

Fargo Masonic Vendor & Craft Show, 11:00 am @ Fargo Masonic Center at 1405 3rd St. N. in Fargo. Come see our local vendors and crafters. Free.

Music Petting Zoo with Community Orchestra Academy, 12:00 pm @ JC Penney Wing of West Acres Mall in Fargo. Children of all ages can scope out their favorite stringed instrument and may even want to take one home for their very own. Everyone also can hear incredible music – some that is sure to let loose your inner beast –performed by local students and professional musicians. From 12:00 to 2:00 pm. Free.

Movie Matinee, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. The library will be screening “The Lion King,” © Walt Disney Pictures, rated PG. Free.

MHS Varsity Boys Hockey, 3:00 pm vs. Hill-Murray @ Moorhead Sports Center.

Sunday, Feb 16:

Open Skate, 2:00 pm @ Moorhead Sports Center. Admission is $2 for kids (age 17 and under), $3 for adults, and $5 for family skate. There is limited skate rental available for $1.

Arc Games and More, 7:00 pm @ Murray Hall at MSUM. Arc Games and More is a place to connect with others and the community in an environment that fosters friendships and celebrates individual abilities and talents. Each session will include activities and creative activities, based on a different theme each month, that appeal to children, teens and adults, using art, music, dance, physical activities, food, science, crafts, various hobbies, community groups, and more. Classy and Trashy Book Club, 7:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Starting in February we’ll discuss Stephen King’s “The Stand” over three months. For February, we’ll read Book I (Chapters 1-42). Free.
