Help Fargo and Moorhead area Fire Fighters

Fill The Boot and conquer muscle disease for MDA

Fire fighters will be at all Hornbacher’s locations in Fargo and Moorhead to “Fill the Boot” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Thursday-Saturday, September 11-13 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Members of the Moorhead Fire Department will be at Moorhead Hornbacher’s on those days where they invite the community to come out and support their efforts. Every dollar that passing motorists pitch into the fire fighters’ boots helps our local fire fighters provide medical treatment and support services to individuals and their families living with neuromuscular diseases in North Dakota and northwestern Minnesota.

All money raised is donated to the greater North Dakota chapter of the MDA, which includes service in 18 counties in northwestern Minnesota (including Moorhead and the surrounding area). Thanks to the support and generosity of the citizens of Fargo-Moorhead, contributions send area children to MDA summer camp and help support 350 local families affected by neuromuscular diseases.

“We are grateful for the support of our local fire fighters and the dollars they raise on behalf of our families with muscle disease,” said MDA Area Director Sue Wiger. “The funds they raise are used for health care services and equipment support, and to help send kids to free MDA summer camps. 100% of the dollars raised stay in our community. ”
