Moorhead city manager Christina Volkers has accepted a job in the Twin Cities. She will begin her new position as a city administrator of Oakdale, a St. Paul suburb, in late June.
Volkers has served as Moorhead’s chief administrator since January 2017, when she succeeded former city manager Mike Redlinger. Redlinger is currently the assistant city administrator in Fargo.
She was a court executive officer in San Bernardino, California; Stillwater, Minnesota; and the 4th Judicial District Court in Hennepin and Ramsey counties. Her move to the Twin Cities will reunite her with her husband and two adult sons.
Oakdale, a city of 27,378, is located east of St. Paul in Washington County.
