Caramel Biscuits

Caramel means burnt sugar, but do not over bake these biscuits or the caramel will become hard.

My grand kids enjoyed helping me make these on Sunday mornings when they came to visit for the weekend. I liked to serve these biscuits with an egg bake and some fresh fruit. Egg bake will be in next week column.

Caramel Biscuits

3 Cans buttermilk refrigerator biscuits, cut biscuits in half with a scissors and roll in cinnamon and sugar mixture. Put into a 9 x 13 pan, overlapping if necessary.

Melt together in microwave:

1/2 Cup butter or margarine

1/2 Cup vanilla ice cream

1/2 Cup white sugar

1/2 Cup brown sugar

Blend together and pour over the biscuits and bake 350 for 20 minutes. Invert on cookie sheet.

Do not over bake!
