Thursday, January 19

Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

Storytime and Craft: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, special guests and more. Storytime typically lasts for an hour and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Free.

Friday, January 20

Saturday, January 21

Frostival: Ice Bowl Disc Golf Tournament 2023: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Woodlawn Park at 400 Woodlawn Park Dr. in Moorhead. No wimps, no whiners. This disc golf tournament takes place in the dead of winter to help bring awareness to hunger in America. This is a one-round flex-start tournament due to the likely cold conditions. Hot cocoa and hand warmers will be provided. A raffle will be held at Junkyard Brewery after the rounds, from which proceeds will go to the food shelf. We encourage you to bring non-perishable food items to the event to donate as well. $25/person.

Winter Birding Festival: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm. Forest River Park in Fargo. Come join us for a fun and educational event to learn about the many over-wintering birds in the Fargo-Moorhead community. This free birding event is for all skill levels. Hot cocoa is provided. Don’t forget to bring a pair of binoculars, a limited number is provided. 

Frostival Cardboard Sled Race: 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Mickelson Park at 901 Oak St. N. in Fargo. Time to flex your recycling muscles. Gather your supplies and test your hand at creating an amazing cardboard sled. Enjoy sled races and a contest for the most creative sled. Registration begins at 11:00 am in the warming house with races starting at 11:30 am.

Fargo Masonic Vendor & Craft Show: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Fargo Masonic Center at 1405 3rd St. N. in Fargo. Come to the vendor & craft show and support small businesses. The show will be from 11-3 and lunch will be served from 11-1.

Frostival Horseshoe Tournament: 12:00 – 2:30 pm. Memorial Park at 111 8th St. N. in Moorhead. Adults of all ages are welcome to pitch horseshoes at the Memorial Park Horseshoe Courts. 12 courts are available. Participants will pitch in a Round Robin-style tournament. $10 to register.

Sunday, January 22

Annual Soup Feed: 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. Moorhead Masonic Family Center at 1815 11th St. N. in Moorhead. Come in from the cold and warm yourself with a variety of piping hot soups, served by members of Moorhead Chapter 164 of the Order of the Eastern Star. The event runs from 11:00 am until 1:30 pm and costs $10 per person. The meal includes all the soup you can eat, along with bread, beverage, and dessert.

Movie on Ice: 1:00 – 3:00 pm. The Lights Ice Rink at Essentia Health Plaza in West Fargo. Bundle up and join us for ice skating and a family-friendly movie. Free hot cocoa, apple cider, and cookies will be available while supplies last.  Skate rental is available for $5.

ROURKEART4ALL: 1:00 – 5:00 pm. The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum at 521 Main Ave. in Moorhead. Free.

Monday, January 23

Moorhead Art & Culture Commission Meeting: 4:00 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. 

S’mores & More at Longfellow Park: 5:00 – 7:00 pm. 20 29th Ave. NE in Fargo. Join us at S’mores & More for a night out with the family. Cook your own S’mores, drink hot chocolate, listen to music and skate on an outdoor rink. Don’t forget to bring your skates. The rink and warming house are available to use during the event. This event is free and open to the public.

Moorhead City Council Meeting: 5:30 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. 

Tuesday, January 24

Senior Meals: Chicken parmesan/pasta and mixed vegetables. Meals are served at the Hjemkomst, call 299-5519 for more info.

Clay County Commission Meeting: 8:30 am. Clay County Courthouse at 807 11th Street N. in Moorhead. Meeting Rooms A & B.

Concordia Faculty Art Exhibition: 4:00- 5:30 pm. Cyrus M. Running Gallery at Concordia College. Exhibition through Sunday, Feb. 19. A public reception will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, with artist remarks at 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, January 25

Memory Café: 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Caregiver Café at 1122 1st Ave. N. in Fargo

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.
