Soup and Pie Dinner, 4:30 pm @ St. Joseph’s Gathering Place at 1005 2nd Ave. S. in Moorhead. The annual Catholic Daughter Soup and Pie Dinner is scheduled from 4:30 ‐ 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children 5‐10.

Sesquicentennial Planning Kick Off, 6:00 pm @ Hjemkomst Center Auditorium. We need time and talent to plan a grand celebration of Moorhead turning 150 in 2021. We are looking for Moorhead Proud residents, organizations, and business people to help with this planning effort. We need a steering committee, coordinator(s), and many other resources to make the 2021-2022 Sesquicentennial Celebration a memorable and successful event. Or series of events. Or a work of art. The sky is the limit. Please join others in your community in the fun.

Join the Pop Lit Book Club as we delve into The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern about a grad student who discovers a mysterious book in the library, filled with mythical tales, adventurous stories, and, most surprising of all, a story from his own childhood. Cold Cinema: A Winter Movie Night, 6:00 pm @ Rheault Farm at 2902 25th St. S. in Fargo. Embrace winter by enjoying an outdoor movie in the cold. Get your friends, bring a blanket, grab some popcorn and settle in to watch a favorite winter film. Dress warm, this event takes place outdoors in a covered shelter. Heaters are available outside the shelter. Free.

Saturday, Feb 22:
Fargo-Moorhead Comic-Con, 10:00 am Saturday and Sunday @ Ramada Fargo. FMCC is the premiere comics event between Minneapolis and Seattle. Fun for all ages, family friendly daytimes and extra fun at night… Celebrate all things fun… all things comics at Fargo-Moorhead Comic-Con. $3-$20.
Lecture: “Slavery’s Reach: Southern Slaveholders & the North Star State,” 1:00 pm @ Hjemkomst Center. The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County will host Dr. Christopher Lehman for a discussion of slavery’s legacy in Minnesota. Free and open to the public.
Youth Ice Fishing Derby, 1:30 pm @ Woodhaven South Park at 4802 Woodhaven Drive S. in Fargo. Bring your ice fishing rod and try your luck at the annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby. South Woodhaven Pond is stocked with perch, bluegill and northern pike. Bait is provided for the derby (while supplies last). Holes are pre-drilled for participants. Free hot cocoa and giveaways (while supplies last). Participants must provide their own fishing rod and tackle and be accompanied by adult supervision.
Annual Cherry Pie Supper, 4:00 pm @ First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead at 2900 5th St. S. Since 1938, the First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead has held an annual Cherry Pie Supper. This year will feature an all-you-can-eat ham, special au gratin/scalloped potatoes, our own cole slaw recipe, and of course of freshly baked cherry pie with ice cream. The cost of the supper is $13.50 at the door with discount coupons available on our web site, at the church office or from members of the church.
LEGO Club, 6:00 pm @ Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. People of all ages and creative ability are welcome to come make their own LEGO creation with the library’s LEGO Club. Supplies provided. Free.
