As of Wednesday, 11,000 Moorhead residences received their new blue single-sort recycling bins. Dumpsters will arrive at apartments over the next two weeks, says city public works director Steve Moore. The new service permits residents to collect all recyclable materials in a single bin, which will be collected every two weeks in addition to regular weekly sanitation routes. According to Moore, all homes have received a mailer explaining how to use the service; it's also on the front page of the City Insights newsletter. Collections begin July 3.
