On March 29th 2024 at 11:00am The Moorhead American Legion and the Vietnam Veterans of America invite all Vietnam Veterans for lunch and a program for the Vietnam
War Veterans day. As a small token of our appreciation, you will be honored for your service. Whether a draftee or volunteer, officer or enlisted. We are in debt to you.
The Fargo AMVETs are also hosting an event at 6:00pm.
Please try to attend one of these vents, they are for you.
In Fargo National Cemetery news:
We (The Fargo Memorial Honor Guard) are in a bit of a holding pattern until we can meet with Senator Hoeven. Many changes were announced for the project and we need more information so we do not provide misleading or incorrect facts.
Just a few examples:
Buildings cannot be named after individuals: Not true, the VA regulations specifically states if the is a regional connection or the individual is a Medal of Honor Recipient (which Loren D Hagen is both) the building can be named accordingly.
Size and design of building, we were told a combination between the NDSU/ Icon architecture design and the Mandan Veterans cemetery design. Also building size we agreed upon was cut almost in half.
Those are just a couple examples of answers we are waiting for before we continue. All will be happy to hear the cute little games are STILL being played behind the scenes. In the near future this will be brought to light for all to see and judge for themselves. I am a soldier not a politician and DO NOT play these games. But I do vote and I do tell others of how we have been treated and let them decide.
