FREE LINKFM EVENT SHUTTLE OPERATING FOR THE DOWNTOWN STREET FAIR

Park at the Moorhead Center Mall or any other designated bus stops to catch the LinkFM event bus. While at the mall, register for prizes at booths hosted by local radio stations – July 18 and 19, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Then hop on one of the air-conditioned buses, which will take you straight to the heart of the Street Fair.

LinkFM will provide service every day during the Street Fair:

July 18 – 9:30 am – 9:30 pm

July 19 – 9:30 am – 9:30 pm

July 20 – 9:30 am – 5:30 pm

LinkFM will have two buses on route each day, with a bus arriving approximately every 7-10 minutes. Just look for the pink LinkFM signs to find each of the 11 bus stops on the route. View the event route map on matbus.com.

All MATBUS fixed routes will also have reduced fares ($1.00 adult fare, $0.50 discount riders) on July 18 and 19, and be FARE FREE on Saturday, July 20.

MOORHEAD LIBRARY SCHEDULES SERVICE DOG PROGRAM JULY 20

MOORHEAD – Learn about Service Dogs with the Moorhead Public Library. The library has scheduled an informational program Saturday, July 20 at 10:30 a.m. featuring special guests Amy and her service dog Mabel. 

Amy will share the impact her service dog has had on her life and attendees will learn how Mabel helps Amy and discover how important these dogs are to their people. A Q&A session will follow the presentation. The program is offered free-of-charge. The Moorhead Public Library is located at 118 5th St. S.

LARL ANNOUNCES REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR PUBLIC ART PROJECT 

MOORHEAD – Lake Agassiz Regional Library is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) to create an artistic design for metal book return boxes at the following locations: Mahnomen Public Library, Crookston Public Library, Fertile Public Library, Halstad Library LINK Site. 

The artwork will celebrate the libraries through one or more region-specific, artistic, cultural, and/or historical attribute(s). Once selected artwork is reproduced on a vinyl wrap, the book returns will be viewable in a high-traffic location outside the libraries for all to enjoy. 

Eligibility & Compensation:

The RFP is open to all artists 18 years or older living in Becker, Clay, Clearwater, Mahnomen, Norman, Polk and Wilkin counties working in any medium suitable for a vinyl wrap. Selected artists will receive $750 for their design.

Deadline for Applications: Monday, August 5, 2024
