Moorhead Tastee Freez burglarized, sustaining significant damage

MOORHEAD – Early Tuesday morning, the Moorhead Police Department was notified of a broken window at the Moorhead Tastee Freez. The business had been broken into sustaining significant damage to its interior, and the power was turned off inside the building causing damage to the business’s products. The burglary occurred between the hours of 10:00 pm on Monday, and 1:30 am on Tuesday July 14th. 

Anyone with information regarding the burglary is asked to call the Moorhead Police Department at 701.451.7660.

The investigation is still very active and no further information, including any suspect information, is available.

Reminder: P-EBT Application Window Closes July 31

MOORHEAD – Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) can provide families with children up to $325 for groceries. The Minnesota Department of Human Services says as many as 150,000 families may be eligible for these additional food assistance benefits. The application is available in Hmong, Russian, Somali, Spanish and Vietnamese. The deadline has been extended to July 31. Families can apply at https://mn.p-ebt.org.

MSU Moorhead Computer Sale July 23

MOORHEAD – Minnesota State University Moorhead will hold a computer sale open to the public Thursday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Livingston Lord Library. Free parking is available in the M-5 parking lot next to Comstock Memorial Union.

More than 200 computers priced from $20 to $200 will be available for sale, including Apple MacBooks, iMacs, iPads, and Microsoft Windows PC Laptops and Microsoft Windows All-in-One computers.

All computers are sold as-is with no warranty, returns or guarantees. Technical support is not available. Cash, credit or debit card purchase only.

Please no phone calls, drop-ins or emails about computers before the sale.

COVID-19 restrictions will be in place, including 6-foot distancing, face masks strongly encouraged, and a maximum of 25 people allowed within indoor rooms.
