FARGO-MOORHEAD INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION
Moorhead – Kondial Kel International invites the public to join the Fargo-Moorhead International Women’s Day Celebration on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Armory Event Center, 904 Center Ave, Moorhead, MN 56560.
This annual event is a powerful gathering dedicated to celebrating the achievements, resilience, and contributions of women from diverse backgrounds. Through inspiring storytelling, a cultural fashion showcase, and community recognition, the event aims to foster inclusion, empowerment, and unity.
Event Highlights:
• Keynote speakers sharing impactful stories of leadership and perseverance
• Cultural fashion showcase featuring traditional attire from around the world
• Honoring an outstanding woman for her contributions to the community
• Sampling of global cuisines representing diverse cultures
• Networking and connection opportunities for attendees
Under this year’s theme, Accelerate Action, the event emphasizes the urgency of advancing gender equity. According to the World Economic Forum, at the current pace, it will take 134 years—until 2158—to achieve full gender parity. This calls for swift and decisive action to dismantle systemic barriers and biases that continue to affect women in various spheres of life.
By gathering voices, sharing stories, and celebrating progress, this event seeks to mobilize community efforts toward a more inclusive and equitable future. It will also focus on mental well-being initiatives for young people and providing support to underprivileged New American communities.
The Fargo-Moorhead International Women’s Day Celebration is free and open to all. Community members, organizations, and leaders are encouraged to attend and participate in this important conversation.

HORIZON MIDDLE SCHOOL’S THEATRE DEPARTMENT PRESENTS BEETLEJUICE JR. THE MUSICAL
MOORHEAD – The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether) world of pandemonium.
With music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and a book by Tony Award-nominated pair Anthony King and Scott Brown, Beetlejuice was nominated for eight 2019 Tony Awards including Best New Musical. Created for the generation that made it a hit, Beetlejuice JR. is a wacky theatrical party for all!
Shows will be held February 27- March 1 at 7 p.m. and March 2 at 2 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Horizon Middle School. Tickets can be purchased online at www.moorheadschools.org/tix or by calling the box office at 218-284-2255.
