Long-Time Caregiver at Eventide Senior Living Communities Recognized with Prestigious ‘Caregiver of the Year’ Award
Janelle Kressin honored for enhancing the quality of life for seniors
MOORHEAD – Each year, LeadingAge Minnesota’s Caregiver of the Year award recognizes individuals who go beyond expectations to greatly enhance the quality of life for seniors and their communities. This year’s regional Caregiver of the Year award recipient is Janelle Kressin, who works as an Registered Nurse at Eventide Senior Living Communities.
Janelle is a 31+-year top performing veteran nurse at Eventide. She brings an overwhelming sense of calm and ease to all situations and serves as a mentor for new and current staff. Residents know they’re in good hands with Janelle.
“Janelle is a top performing TCU charge nurse who exemplifies dedication to our residents’ care and wellbeing,” said Emily Kollar, Executive Director of Eventide’s campus in Moorhead. “Janelle has worked for Eventide for over 30 years and her continued commitment to our residents is truly inspiring. I am continuously impressed with the positive difference Janelle is making in our residents’ lives.”

MARCH AND APRIL HISTORY HARVESTS IN CLAY COUNTY
MOORHEAD – The Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County is pleased to announce a series of History Harvests planned for the communities of Barnesville, Hawley, Ulen, and Moorhead. The focus of the gatherings will be to interview people about built places in Clay County that have meaning to them. Anyone who has a story or a memory is invited to stop in and share, first-come, first-served. The buildings can still be in existence or may be long gone. The interviews will be recorded and stored in the Clay County Archives. The stories about the places that result from the interviews will be shared with the public through the North Star Story Map (see https://northstarstorymap.org/).
North Star Story Map is a collaboration between the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Minnesota, Mill City Museum, and the Minnesota Historical Society. This collaboration is made possible by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the vote of Minnesotans on Nov 4, 2008.
The scheduled gatherings include:
Tues. March 4 1-4pm at the Barnesville Public Library, 104 Front Street N., Barnesville
Wed. March 19 1-4pm at the Garrick Theatre, 509 Front Street, Hawely.
Wed. April 2 1-4pm Ulen Senior Center, 60 Front Street E., Ulen.
Wed. April 23 1-4pm Moorhead Public Library, 118 5th St. S., Moorhead.
