CLAY COUNTY’S DETOX UNIT HAS MOVED TO NEW FACILITY
MOORHEAD – Clay County is excited to announce that the Detox Unit has moved to the new Withdrawal Management/Detox Facility on Monday, December 30th, 2024. The new facility is located at 3304 15th Ave N, Moorhead, MN 56560.
The new Clay County Withdrawal Management/Detox Facility will expand Clay County’s existing Withdrawal Management and Detox Programs, increasing capacity from 16 to 32 beds to meet the growing demand for substance use treatments in the region. Clients 18 years and older with substance use disorders will be able to utilize the facility’s treatment resources. The facility will also help reduce the demand for healthcare systems, particularly the emergency departments. Clay County offers the only licensed clinically managed care services in the region.
MOORHEAD CURBSIDE TREE PICKUP SCHEDULE
MOORHEAD – The Forestry team will start chipping trees on Monday, January 6 through Friday, January 17. Chipping will be on your garbage day.
Residents are asked to follow the below guidelines:
• Place trees 5 feet away from other objects.
• Do not deposit your tree on snowbanks.
• Remove plastic bags, lights, wood and metal stands.
Note: The Forestry Division will not pick up Christmas trees after January 17, 2025.
FARGO CHRISTMAS TREE COLLECTION SCHEDULED
FARGO – As winter weather allows, City of Fargo crews will be collecting used Christmas trees in the first half of January, ending on Friday, January 17. For collection beyond that date, fees may apply. Residents should place trees on the boulevard by 7 a.m. on their scheduled garbage day.
Residents are asked to follow these guidelines:
Trees must be placed on the boulevard for collection (not in alley).
Remove all lights, ornaments, stands or plastic bags.
No artificial trees will be collected.
Additionally, Fargo residents may haul brush, logs up to 10 inches in diameter and other tree debris to the Fargo Landfill at no charge. The landfill is located at 4501 7th Ave. N. and is open year-round. The operating hours for the landfill are 7:15 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:15 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday. Proof of residency is required to utilize landfill services.
