Andrea is a perfectly healthy 30 year old mother of two amazing girls. After the birth of her second child, Andrea started having ‘fits’ of something. To date we’ve found out that Andrea’s been having seizures caused by a swelling in her brain. This swelling is caused by the tumor, an astrocytoma grade 4, of which 80% has been removed after a successful brain surgery. She started radiation and chemotherapy on October 29 to fight the remaining 20%.

reGROUP Telephone Recovery Support Training:Location: reGroup in Moorhead

reGROUP’s Telephone Recovery Support Program is a peer-to-peer recovery support program that allows recovering people a way to give back, strengthen their own recovery, and support others who are seeking recovery. Through this program, trained reGROUP volunteers call individuals seeking recovery who have requested this service to ask how their recovery is progressing and to connect them to the resources they need to achieve and maintain recovery.

Kids of ALL ages are encouraged to join us for a fun Santapalooza celebration. Don’t miss Santa’s SUPER SPECIAL entrance at 10 a.m. Take pictures with Santa from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m., decorate Christmas cookies with Santa’s helpers, and write a letter to Santa.
MSUM Day of Percussion:

Come enjoy a day full of clinics, master classes, and performances for the percussionist and the percussion enthusiast! MSUM is excited to host our biggest Day of Percussion ever, featuring multi-Grammy winning guest artists. Registration begins at 9:30am, sessions begin at 10am. The Day climaxes with an epic EVENING OF STEEL featuring all of the guest artists performing with over 60 steel drum performers from across MN and ND at 5pm in the MSUM CMU Student Union Ballroom.

12th Annual Spaghetti Dinner & Silent Auction – Handi-Wheels Transportation:

Zumbathon Benefit for Altru Cancer Center:

The Altru YMCA is hosting a Zumbathon with all proceeds going to the Altru Cancer Center. The event features a Zumba class at 1:00 pm followed by refreshments and door prizes. Zumba is a fusion of Latin rhythms and easy to follow choreography that anyone can do standing or seated. Chairs will be provided. Come dressed to move and have fun.
Taco in a Bag Benefit for Chris Larson:

Chris Larson, 34, a married Grand Forks man with two children, has spent several years battling health ailments, piling up some steep medical bills. He needs back surgery, and he also has two hernias that require repair. All proceeds from the benefit will help Chris and his family with medial and general expenses.
Fall Art Mania:
Location: Veteran’s Memorial Arena in West Fargo

Turkey Bingo:

The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary will be holding their Annual Turkey Bingos on 3 Mondays in November. 15 games for only $2.00 per card! Turkeys will be given for the prizes. Treats and refreshments will be available. All proceeds will go to help with our numerous projects for veterans and their families.
