Reinertsen students place in bus safety poster contest

The Moorhead School Board recognized several S.G. Reinertsen Elementary School students for placing in the 2014 School Bus Safety Poster Contest sponsored by Minnesota Association for Pupil Transportation and Minnesota School Bus Operators Association. The annual contest promotes a specific school-bus safety message; the 2013-14 theme was “Be Smart – Be Seen, I wait in a safe place.”

Jacob Gulbranson placed first and Madden Bogenreif placed second in the grade 1 category. Anika Haberer placed first and Kanie Selman placed third in the grade 2 category. Carter Johnson placed second in the grade 4 category. Their classroom teachers are Kirsten Johnson, Melissa Nesler, Mary Stich, Emily Nygard and Shannon Rieder, and their art teacher is Michelle Sailer.
