Teddy Bear Parade:

Each year over 700 kids and adults walk the short 1/2 mile course around Island Park with their favorite Teddy Bear Buddy! Participation is free. Bring a canned food item for the Great Plains Food Bank and decorate your wagon, bike or stroller.
Midwest Kid Fest:

Island Park will be filled with music, laughter and bright colors as children play and learn. The fest hosts 30 interactive educational booths, many carnival games, entertainment stages and strolling entertainment.
Relay for Life of Clay County:

Annual Rhubarb Festival:

This annual event is highlighted by a bake sale, pie contest and luncheon. Come early…the home baked goodies go fast!
June Bug Fun Run and Walk:
Location: First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead at 2900 5thSt. S.

Cost: $10 – $20
5k, 3k and 1k Kid’s Bug Run through south Moorhead. Free Children’s Games and face painting will be provided during the races. Post-race refreshments will be provided at the finish line. You are welcome to embrace the bug theme and dress up for the race or wear red. Money raised will support Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley’s Free After-school Program at First Presbyterian and other ministry.
Kid’s Day at Western Minnesota Steam Threshers Steamer Hill

Free event for children in grades K-8, children must be accompanied by an adult, horse-riding area, merry-go-round, sandbox, ride on a steam engine, games and crafts, free pop, hotdogs and prizes.

2014 Grand Cities Art Fest:
Location: Downtown Grand Forks

Over 150 quality artisans and crafters will fill downtown Grand Forks and East Grand Forks offering everything from handmade jewelry and clothing to pottery and wooden furniture. There will also be live music and dozens of food vendors.

The Red River Watercolor Society’s 21st Annual National Watermedia Exhibition Awards Ceremony:
Location: Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead

With around 300 artists’ entries from all over the US and Canada, the National Juried Watermedia Exhibition is the only exhibition of its type in this part of the country. Exhibit runs June 16 – July 26.
