“Dearly Departed” Performance:

Location: Fire Hall Theater in Grand Forks

Date: February 27 – March 1

Cost: Tickets are $15 and $12 for seniors, students and military with ID

You’ll die laughing at this hilarious comedy set somewhere between the Mason-Dixie line. And each performance will feature a different local celebrity actor: Look for Mayors Mike Brown (GF) and Stauss (EGF), as well as President Kelly from UND, among others!

“Forbidden Broadway” Performance:

Location: The Stage at Island Park

Date: February 27 – March 1

Time: Thursday – Saturday 7:30pm, Sunday 2:00pm

Cost: $10 – $20

The show is a cabaret revue sharply spoofing show tunes, characters and plots of contemporary and current Broadway musicals. “Forbidden Broadway” has mocked popular shows like the “Phantom of the Opera,” “Wicked,” and “Les Miserables” to name a few. It also targets famous Broadway actors, writers, composers, directors, and choreographers and producers.

“Sweeney Todd” Performance:

In dark, smoggy and feral London, Benjamin Barker has escaped from prison, returning to seek revenge against the lecherous judge who framed him, ravaged his young wife, and stole away his daughter. Barker’s private grievance eats away at him, and he gradually turns into a demonic serial killer – his thirst for blood expanding to include his unfortunate customers.

Toughest Monster Trucks 2014:

Location: Alerus Center in Grand Forks

Cost: Kids 2-12 $10, adults $29 in advance ($2 additional the day of the show)

The Toughest Monster Truck Tour is coming back to Alerus Center with six of the nation’s toughest monster trucks including the return of Bigfoot and Toxic and for the first time ever in Grand Forks, Captain USA and Double Trouble…plus, fan favorites Equalizer and Red Solo Truck. In addition to the monster trucks competing in the wheelie, racing and freestyle competitions, freestyle motocross has been added to this year’s event as a feature act.
