Brownie Refrigerator Delight

Anyone who knows me, knows that I have a sweet tooth; especially for chocolate. When I was the director of the retirement home, I would usually ask about the dessert of the day. We had one resident who always ate her dessert first, so that she would not be too full for it at the end of the meal. As the saying goes “Life is unpredictable, eat dessert first!”

Brownie Refrigerator Delight

1 Brownie mix, 18 ounce size (9×13 pan)

1 Egg

1 8 Ounce cream cheese, softened

1 Cup powdered sugar

2 8 Ounce bowls cool whip

1 3 Ounce package instant vanilla pudding

1 3 Ounce package instant chocolate pudding

3 1/2 Cups milk

1 Hershey bar or chocolate syrup for garnish

Prepare brownie mix according to package directions, adding an extra egg. Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar and one bowl of cool whip and spread on the cooled brownies. Blend the puddings and milk together and spread over cream cheese layer. Top with 8 ounce bowl of cool whip and garnish with grated chocolate bar or a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Refrigerate.
