Vietnam Week and CMVA Dates

Veteran’s Corner

Tom Krabbenhoft

First and foremost congratulations to a loyal reader Bruce M. He just celebrated his 40th year as a logistical specialist expediting parts to people.
The 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War’s end. April 26-May 2 for Vietnam Memorial Week presented by the Vietnam Veterans of America and the Fargo Air Museum.
Saturday and Sunday feature special guest speakers, presentations, and ceremonies. See vehicles and artifacts of the era on display throughout the week.
The week is free will donation with no registration required. There is never a bad time of year to visit the Fargo Air Museum.
After you hit the Air Museum stop in to a couple of Moorhead eateries that offer a military discount. The Village Inn in South Moorhead, and both the Fargo and Moorhead Fryn Pans. I have to confess I had pie at both over the weekend. The Hen House in South Moorhead also offers a discount. As always please inquire when you get there.
A grateful thanks to businesses that do something for Veterans.
If you have a business that offers a discount or does something special for Veterans, please let me know.
The CVMA (Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association) is getting a chapter in Fargo. They meet at the downtown VFW first Saturday of the month. They are the fastest growing Veterans group in the country. Their motto is a simple “Vets helping Vets.” If you would like more information please contact me.
If you are a Veteran looking to get out, give Band of Brothers Outdoors a look. They have a lot of events coming up. www.bandofbrothersoutdoors.com
