Daniel Dietrich, a junior at Park Christian School, was selected for the MSHSL ExCEL Award – which stands for Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership. 36 students across MN were selected. This is a unique recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, leaders in their schools, and who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service. This award is sponsored by the League’s corporate partner TruStone Financial Credit Union.
On-Court Award Ceremony: Each ExCEL Award recipient was invited to partcipate in an on-court award ceremony. The ceremony took place during the Girls Basketball State Tournament on Saturday, March 15th, at Williams Arena in Minneapolis. Award recipients were introduced and presented with a plaque during halftime of the 2:00 PM championship game. The ceremony was televised.
