Fargo Memorial Honor Guard
I want to open by thanking our great committee for the tremendous support given to the Fargo
Memorial Honor Guard on “Giving Hearts Day” and beyond. We were able to raise 115% of our goal. From the $10 donations to a check for $25K we are truly thankful and humbled for the support. We are currently at almost 1.5 million dollars raised by the Fargo Memorial Honor Guard.
These last few weeks have been very busy, between testifying before the ND Veterans subcommittee and also the appropriations subcommittee it’s been lots of hustle and bustle. Add onto that funerals, meetings, emails and phone calls it really adds up. It is truly a labor of love and devotion to duty for our Veterans and their families. I cannot think how to better spend my retirement from Law Enforcement.
Knowing the amount of community support is contagious, when we strive for greatness not many things can stop us. With so many people supporting our nations Veterans it makes me feel like I have to work that much harder. Despite road blocks and numerous “NO’s” we are gaining momentum to finally bring this building project to fruition. It will be something we all in the area can be very proud of. As I’ve said many many times, this is our Arlington National Cemetery of North Dakota and we need to do a better job for the families in their time of need and grief.
