Chipotle Mexican Grill opens the doors to its new store in the Easten Shopping Center on Thursday.
The first local outlet of the national chain features the company’s signature Chipotlane. Customers can place their orders for burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas and salads online, then pick up their food in the drive-through lane – a quick and contact-free model. Non-digital diners order their food inside the fast-casual restaurant. Menu items are available with chicken, pork carnitas, barbacoa, steak, tofu-based “sofritas” or vegetarian, with options of guacamole or queso.
The Moorhead restaurant arrives at a time when the corporation – founded in 1993 in Denver – operates more than 3,500 restaurants across the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and France. The restaurants are located in 49 states and territories and in almost 1,800 cities. The restaurant also has three locations in Fargo. Only Vermont – home of two Chipotle Mexican Grills – has fewer.
The restaurant will be open from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
