Author Presentation with Natalie Warren: 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Concordia College Knutson Center Centrum. All are welcome to this free presentation by “Hudson Bay Bound” author Natalie Warren, as she shares her experiences of making a groundbreaking, 2,000-mile canoe journey, as well as her work to record that journey in this book. Free.

Nooks and Crannies Flashlight Tour: 7:30 pm. Comstock House at 506 8th St. S. in Moorhead. About This Event This October, the Comstock House will once again be offering an “after-dark” tour option, the Nooks & Crannies Flashlight Tour. During this tour, all lights in the house will be turned off. Two guides will illuminate different artifacts and architectural features throughout the house allowing guests to appreciate them in a way that they never would during the daylight. For this tour, we will also be allowing access to the parts of the house that are otherwise inaccessible to the public. $10.

Friday, October 20

Ham Dinner: 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Moorhead Masonic Building at 1815 11th St. N. in Moorhead. Come to the Moorhead Masonic Family Center for a Ham Dinner, with scalloped potatoes, corn, roll, and apple pie. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 for adults, $5 for 10 and under.

Performance of “5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche”: &;30 pm Friday and Saturdays and Sunday 2:00 pm. Theatre B at 215 N. 10th St. in Moorhead. It’s 1956 and the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein is having its annual quiche breakfast. Will they be able to keep their cool when Communists threaten their idyllic town? Students $12, Adult $25.

Fargo Masonic Vendor & Craft Show: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Fargo Masonic Center at 1405 3rd St. N. in Fargo. Come to the vendor & craft show and support small businesses. The show will be from 11-3 and lunch will be served from 11-1. Free.

Fargo Record Fair: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm. Fargo Brewing Company at 610 N. University Dr. in Fargo. All ages welcome.

Mona Landsem Benefit: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. Moorhead Legion at 303 30th St. N. Come to the Moorhead American Legion to support Mona Landsem in her battle with aggressive Breast Cancer. There will be an online silent auction, bake sale, and a dinner with a free will offering.

International Observe the Moon Night: 6:30 – 9:00 pm. Planetarium at MSUM. Visitors can come to observe the moon with friends and family while learning all about our light in the night sky.

Hjemkomst Landing Skate Skelebration: 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Hjemkomst Landing Skate Park at 202 N. 1st Ave. in Moorhead. Join Moorhead Parks and Recreation, Sleep Talk Skate and THIS Skate Shop for a night of spooky tunes, skateboarding, games, prizes, candy, and costume contests. Fun for all ages. No need to ride a skateboard to attend – just come on out and have some fun.

4th Annual EPIC Group Art Show: 6:00 – 9:00 pm. The Lights Event Center at 360 32nd Ave. W. Suite 100 in West Fargo. This show has displayed nearly 1,000 works from hundreds of regional artists and returns to West Fargo. This is a free event and all-ages are welcome to attend. Drinks and snacks will be available.

A History of UFO Sightings in Fargo-Moorhead: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. In 1897 an airship was spotted over Barnesville, and in 1947, a flying saucer dogfight took place in the skies above Fargo. Markus Krueger of the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County will share the history behind these incidents and will explore the many possibilities in this presentation. Free.
