Performance of “5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche”: Friday and Saturdays 7:30 pm and Sunday 2:00 pm. Theatre B at 215 N. 10th St. in Moorhead. It’s 1956 and the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein is having its annual quiche breakfast. Will they be able to keep their cool when Communists threaten their idyllic town? Students $12, Adult $25.

Grace Lutheran Church Fall Craft & Bake Sale: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. Grace Lutheran Church at 821 5th Ave. S. in Fargo. 

The Red River Market: Fall Fest: 10:00 am. Broadway Square in Downtown Fargo. Free.

Spooky & Scary Movies in the Garden: 7:00 – 11:30 pm. Heritage Garden & Amphitheatre at 400 Woodlawn Dr. in Moorhead. There will be art activities and the Movie will begin at sundown. Popcorn, drinks, hand sanitizer and bug spray will be provided. You are welcome to bring your own snacks, blankets/chairs, and fuzzy friends as well. Costumes strongly encouraged. 8:00 pm film: “The Addams Family,” 10:00 pm film: “Little Shop of Horrors.” Free.

Sunday, Oct 8

Honor Strings Concert: 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Memorial Auditorium at Concordia College in Moorhead. Free. 

Autumn Pumpkin Party: 1:00 – 3:00 pm. SheyWest Garden Center at 225 40th Ave. W. in West Fargo. 

Red River Single Potluck/Social: 3:00 – 7:00 pm. 2820 12th Ave. S. in Moorhead. Singles of Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding area are welcomed to attend all Red River Singles Events. All Potluck-Social-Game Events are intended for those over 20 years old. A main food item is available until gone. Participants may bring food or games to share, but not required. It’s a place to have fun, eat good food, relax, and meet people. Group meets every 2nd Sunday of the month. Free.

Clay County Commission Meeting: 8:30 am. Clay County Courthouse at 807 11th St. N. in Moorhead. 

Anna Johnson Art Exhibit: Evolution: 4:00 – 5:30 pm. Cyrus M. Running Gallery at Concordia College. Native American artist, Anna Johnson, seeks to bridge the gap between the world she lives in and the culture she comes from. The public reception is Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 4-5:30 p.m. with artist remarks at 4:30 p.m. The exhibit runs from Oct. 10-Nov. 20.

Storytime + Craft: 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us for Storytime and a craft. Each week, we explore different themes with stories, songs, rhymes, flannel boards, and more. Storytime typically lasts for an hour and is geared for children ages 3-6, although children of all ages are welcome to join the fun. Craft supplies are provided free of charge.

Memory Café of the Red River Valley: 1:00 – 2:30 pm. Hjemkomst Center at 202 1st Ave. N. in Moorhead. Topic: Impact of Social Isolation and Intergenerational Connections with Jeremy Holloway, UND Med School. Free.

Ask-a-Techspert: 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Library staff guides participants through free program navigating like phones, kindles, tablets, and laptops while assisting with tech issues. Will demonstrate downloading eBooks and eAudiobooks from the library. Free.

Waiting for Outlander Book Club: 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Join us on the second Wednesday every month to discuss the works of Diana Gabaldon and books related to the “Outlander” series. This month, we are discussing “The Forgotten Kingdom” by Signe Pike. Free.

Baby Bounce: 10:30 am – 11:00 am. Moorhead Public Library at 118 5th St. S. Songs, stories, and action poems for infants through preschoolers and their caregivers. Program runs about a half hour including playtime and chatting with other caregivers. Free.

Moorhead National Stuttering Association Meeting: 6:00 pm. Murray Hall 210 at Minnesota State University Moorhead. This will be a live event with a Zoom option. Anyone who stutters, supports people who stutter (family members, significant others, and friends) or has an interest in stuttering is encouraged to attend.
